FUN ON THE RUN PAINTBALL PARK REVIEW
|
DESCRIPTION
Situated on 44 acres of rolling woods,
surrounded by apartments, houses, gas stations,
highways and major retail businesses, Fun On
The Run Paintball Park is the oldest continually-
operating paintball field in Fort Worth, Texas.
Opening in 1989, just down the road from its
present location, it moved to its present location
in 2000 where it operates on 38 of the 44 acres,
so there’s still room for future expansion. It may
be a little difficult to find but it is well worth the
effort because once you’ve played here, you’ll
definitely want to come back!

The two-story PPS building contains a party room for birthdays and other
celebrations, a professional air-gun repair center, a fully equipped store
with new and used paintball and airsoft equipment, accessories, safety
equipment, clothing, paintballs, concessions and much more! This is a state-of-
the-art paintball center!
Currently the staging area has two large covered pavilions for players and one
smaller covered pavilion for birthday parties. The check-in station is located on
the ground floor where you can
pay for your day’s play, get
your facemask, buy paintballs,
water, snacks and get your air
tanks refilled.
All-Day FREE Air is included
with the standard day package.
The parking lot is very
large and there is also an
overflow area that can be used
if the main lot is full. There is an area that has several metal tables with
umbrellas and attached benches. If you bring your own shade tent you’ll find
plenty of room to set it up here, as you can see in the above picture of the
entrance to the park.
The restrooms are located near the staging area and are fully equipped
and functioning but without air conditioning. The building is constructed of
practice with your gun to learn the new range and accuracy it has, or just
shooting stuff for fun!
THE FIELDS
Fun On The Run Paintball Park currently has 9 fields for enthusiasts to enjoy,
with more being developed in the near future. Most fields are marked with
yellow rope and/or distinct and obvious terrain features. The current fields are
named: West, District, Wooden, The
Maze, Sniper, Graffiti, a Hyperball field,
Castle, and Fuel Depot.
The West field originally had a “Wild
West” flavor but has been updated with
a few more modern props like two
school buses and many large piles of
tree mulch to hide in and around. It does
still have a “Wild West Fort-like” structure that many players love! This field is
the largest of the semi-woodsball fields and was designed with the idea of using
the trees to provide shade while still allowing for the players to freely move
around the man-made structures. The West field provides something for the
woodsball player and the arena-ball/speedball player. West field also has a
completely enclosed “dead box” for players to go into after being hit that allows
them to remove their masks and relax for a few minutes before the next game.
NO paintball guns are allowed in this area and if a player is caught with one in
this safe area they are asked to leave the park. Depending on how the players
want to play, games can be over quickly or more drawn out.

cinderblocks and has hot and
cold running water. No
port-a-potties needed here!
Located at the far end of the
staging area is the shooting
range. Filled with an assortment
of targets to shoot at, this is an
excellent way to get used to that
new barrel you just bought and
