FUN ON THE RUN PAINTBALL PARK REVIEW |
The Maze is the largest field at FOTR and is 100% wooded. This field is so
large and the woods and underbrush so thick that the refs tell players that if they
feel they are “lost” to just yell for a ref and someone will come to their aid
immediately! Of course, players can also just head to where they hear the shots
coming from and find their way back into the game that way. If you’re a
woodsball player – this field is for you! Speedball players also have fun on this
field as they prove that camouflage isn’t required to do well here!
A wooded field similar to The Maze but without the overly thick underbrush is
Sniper field. Smaller than The Maze but still 100% wooded this field usually has
rather quick games as there are fewer places to hide. You can shoot further on
this field than on The Maze but without good cover just remember – if you miss,
the other player is going to shoot back at you too! Pick your spot and make your
shots count.
The Graffiti field is a
small field a short walk past
the West field and is being
expanded in the near future.
It consists of several
wooden crates and barrels
as can be seen in this
picture. The fighting is
intense and exciting. There
is a center flag but most
games are simply “elimination.” The trees add a needed bit of shade in the
Summer months but don’t give much cover from flying paintballs! A very
